COSTA is the Rural Support Network (RSN) for community Groups and individuals in the South Tyrone Area.

COSTA was established in Feburary 2000 following a public meeting in Dungannon. Since March 2002 COSTA has been incorporated as a Limited Company.

COSTA relocated their office in July 2004 from Augher to newly converted premises at President Grants Homestead Visitor's Centre at 45 Dergenagh Road, Dungannon.

COSTA was established to help rurally based Community Groups develop links with one another, provde groups with a neutral point of contact in the South Tyrone area and encourage the sharing of information, skills and resources.

COSTA is a fully constituted non profit-taking organisation with charitable aims and objectives, managed by a Board & Management Committee drawn from local rural communities representing statutory and community organisations.

 

 

COSTA has received funding from:

° Department of Agriculture & Rural Development through the Building Sustainable Prosperity Programme via The Rural Community Network (NI)

° The Big Lottery Fund

° Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council - Service Legal Agreement Grant

° Armagh & Dungannon Health & Social Services Trust - Voluntary & Community Organiations Grant Aid
